The Coliseum closed it's doors in the Spring of 2011 due to falling attendances. With the permission of the Shareholders a new group 'The Friends of the Coliseum' was set up to find out if it could be reopened. The Friends have worked tirelessly to raise awareness of the closure and secure a grant to arrange for a feasibility study to be carried out on the future of the cinema.
Funding has now been secured and the study is being carried out by Wyn Roberts of Aqua Marketing and is due to be completed by the end of February 2012.
